Living Venice after sunset is already a fascinating experience, it gets even more engaging if you explore with us some hidden corners when darkness falls. 

Across the centuries, many places have been the scene of brutal crimes, disturbing events and unsolved mysteries. 

Walking through the pictoresque Canareggio discrict, we will tell you stories of ordinary people, rich merchants, cursed painters and restless souls.

St. Mark's Square & Doge's Palace

For first time visitors of Venice, this tour is a lovely introduction to its most famous attraction - St. Mark's Square. For others, it is a return to its landmark that is always worth another visit.

We will start visiting the legendary Doge’s Palace, residence for the rulers of Venice, seat of Government and Court of Justice. You will climb the magnificent Golden Staircase that leads to several institutional rooms richly decorated and cross the Bridge of Sighs.

The tour will then proceed towards the heart of St. Mark’s Square, to discover the beautiful buildings surrounding it and to admire St. Mark’s Basilica, one of the world’s most majestic cathedrals, masterpiece of Byzantine art.

This tour includes the visit of the Doge's Palace and St. Mark's Basilica.

Through the heart of Venice and beyond

This is much more than a simply walk, it is a real time travel that will lead us to the discovery of the glorious past of the Serenissima Republic. We will start from its origins right in the heart of the city, the majestic Saint Mark's Square, where we will taste the close connection with the Byzantine eastern world admiring the precious “Golden Church” and we will meet the key figure of the Doge in front of his elegant palace, that was the ancient seat of the Venetian government.

We will continue our journey entering one of the most picturesque districts of Venice: Castello.

We will appreciate the rich architecture of the first Renaissance buildings raised during a wealthy period, at the pick of the glory of Venice. Walking through a maze of narrow streets and characteristic bridges, we will rest in some charming peaceful corners.

We will head to a lovely Medieval area where, as time travellers, we will reach the courtyard where a traveller par excellence was born: Marco Polo!

Our journey will end in the ancient trading heart of Venice, the lively area of Rialto, that still nowadays houses its picturesque market and a rainbow of traditional bacari and osterie, where you can spend the rest of the day tasting the traditional flavours of the venetian cuisine, sipping a spritz and  giving free rein to shopping.

Tiny streets, small squares, hidden courtyards and charming glimpses… a relaxing walk that will give you the opportunity to discover the most authentic areas of Venice. Starting from Piazzale Roma or Santa Lucia train station, the main access to the city, we will walk through its picturesque districts.

Listening to fun anecdotes, legends and curiosities, you will admire some elegant and majestic architectural treasures, such as the Great School of St. Roch, the Frari Church, the famous Rialto Bridge and various sumptuous palaces along the Grand Canal. At the same time, you will explore with us some less-known and very suggestive corners.

At the end of our itinerary, an entrancing view will appear in front of our eyes … we will be in the soul of Venice, Saint Mark's Square, surrounded by the emblematic treasures that made Venice the “Queen of the Adriatic Sea”.

Food & drink tour

Enjoy a relaxing walk through side alleys and discover with us our "Bacari", the Venetian bars frequented by natives where you can experience authentic local food and wine. While drinking an "ombra" (glass of wine) and eating a "cicchetto" (finger food), you will also have a taste of our traditions.

Islands of Murano & Burano

Experience a boat ride to reach the two most famous islands of the Venetian Lagoon. After a short tour through the inner canals, our first stop will be Murano, island famous all over the world for glass making. You will discover the ancient tecniques still in use watching a real master at work, let be impressed by their incredible skills.

We will proceed to Burano, the most charming corner of the lagoon. This pictoresque fishermen village is famous for its colourful houses and the refined art of lace making.

Lagoon Tour on a Bragozzo

Follow us on this slow tour at the discovery of the northern lagoon with its fishing valleys and barene – flat sandbanks, perfect habitat for the local flora and fauna. Boarding a charming Venetian boat, called Bragozzo, you will explore the lagoon from a different point of view, immersing yourself in a quiet and peaceful atmosphere. Thanks to its flat bottom and slow pace, you can enjoy the sounds of nature and reach areas of the lagoon usually inaccessible.

You will discover Sant'Erasmo island, known as the orchard and vegetable garden of Venice, the colourful houses and fishing community of Burano and the island of Torcello, where the ancient origins of the city come from.

An additional stop in Murano island can also be arranged to experience a glass blowing demonstration.

Sunset on a Bragozzo

Enjoy the sunset on board a Bragozzo, perfect time of the day to relax on a romantic atmosphere offered by the lagoon.

Heading to the southern lagoon, we will admire some of the most picturesque Venetian islands and on the way back we will make a toast together greeting the sunset in front of Saint Mark's Square.

The Scuola Grande di San Rocco & the Frari Church

 The heart of San Polo district holds a monumental complex of incomparable beauty which is worth to be seen at least once in life. Our tour starts at the sumptuous Scuola Grande di San Rocco, the magnificent seat of a lay Confraternity founded in 1478. The Scuola, also called “Tintoretto’s Sistine Chapel”, boasts one of the most important pictorial cycles of the Venetian Renaissance painting made by the great master in the second half of the sixteenth century. A series of extraordinary canvases with biblical scenes offer an overall view of Tintoretto’s art. We won’t be simple viewers, we will be part of the paintings through an engaging narrative sequence. But the Scuola Grande boasts also some beautiful paintings by other famous artists and a number of precious treasures…

Our tour will continue in the nearby Frari Basilica, one of the biggest and most important churches in Venice. Walking around the building we will notice its majestic size, but only once inside we will be enchanted by its impressive and solemn atmosphere. Here we will enjoy a journey through the venetian art, ranging from the Gothic style to the Neoclassical one, going through the elegant Renaissance and the rich Baroque manner. We will admire some magnificent altar pieces painted by the most famous Venetian artists such as Vivarini, Bellini and the great Tiziano. The painter is indissoluby tied to this Franciscan church where he left his masterpiece, the “Assumption of the Vergin”, that made the Frari church Vecellio’s temple, where he still rests in peace. His tomb really stands out among the number of rich funerary monuments.

This is the ideal experience for art lovers but also for those who wish to approach this fascinating world.

Discovering Dorsoduro

A relaxing walk to discover the most hidden and fascinating corners of this district, reaching its most iconic places immortalized by artists from all over the world.

From Piazzale Roma we will head towards the ancient Mendigola Island, the residential area of ​​the Nicolotti, where one of the most characteristic churches of the city, San Nicolò dei Mendicoli, stands.

We will move through quiet and peaceful streets along which the most  famous Venetian courtisan Veronica Franco walked centuries ago, reaching the lively Campo Santa Margherita, a favorite place for young Venetians but also home to ancient Confraternities.

From the delightful Campo San Barnaba we will reach the Rio di San Trovaso where we will see one of the oldest Squeri in the city and discover interesting curiosities about the history and production of the most famous Venetian boat, the gondola.

After a little break to enjoy a delicious gianduiotto ice cream at the Zattere, we will reach the most elegant part of the Sestiere, dotted with stately buildings whose main facades overlook the Grand Canal.

Our walk will end in one of the most photographed and famous places in Venice, Punta della Dogana and the monumental Basilica della Salute, a triumph of Baroque architecture and a temple beloved by the Venetians.
